Local fundraising for your local homeless charity.
Providence Row has a long history of working with local schools from carol singing collections around the local area to collecting for us at harvest festivals.
Last year several local schools collected toiletries for us which we give out when people have a shower. These collections mean we keep our costs down.
We are always happy to come and give a talk at school if you are holding a collection for us. In October our fundraising officer Stephanie was delighted to be invited to the Harvest Festival held by St Paul with St Luke's School - pictured right with some of the items they collected.
They also wrote a poem about us which you can read here.
Non-uniform day
A traditional and popular fundraiser for schools – pay to come to school in your own choice of clothes!
Cupcakes and Muffins
The traditional cake sale is always popular whether it’s the students or the staff who bake and bring. Cupcakes are very popular at the moment, are easy to make and you can have fun decorating them.
Sponsored spells
Get sponsored for every word you spell correctly, or maths sum you get right or even general knowledge. This one’s not just for the pupils either!
Sponsored walks
….or skips, jumps, hops or running. You could pledge to walk to school every day for a week, see how many skips you can do in a minute, or do laps around your playground.
Fill up a Smarties tube
Smarties tubes hold £5 worth of 20 pence pieces in them – easy to keep on desks or in lockers and slowly save up.
Jumble sale/yard sale/garden sale/bring and buy sale/car boot sale!
Whatever you call it this is another traditional fundraising event that always goes down well, either charge people to attend with their stalls and ask for an entrance fee, or just have all the proceeds from everything sold coming to us.
Collections
Due to the extraordinary generosity of schools in previous collections we currently can not accept any more toiletries.
Please contact the Fundraising Team on 020 7422 6381 if you have something you feel may be of use to us.
