London to Brighton 2017
Leave the city behind and cycle to the sea to help people end their homelessness, for good.
The route is 54 miles long starting on Clapham Common, and includes a gigantic lunch and one big hill (a 1 mile climb to 814 feet above sea level), before a beautiful and speedy descent onto Brighton Beach.
It’s a moderate-sized challenge that is suitable for expert and novice cyclists, but will have a huge impact whether you finish first, or in the final ten. We ask our cyclists to be as ambitious in their fundraising as we are for those who use our services and raise a fantastic £500 so that people can get off, and stay off, the streets.
Last year an amazing team of 19 cyclists raised a total of £10,417.97, smashing their £500 targets! If we can repeat and hopefully beat this success:
- 7+ people could complete a 10 week training scheme in catering or gardening
- 40+ people could improve their computer skills with a term of our IT classes
