Kitchen Challenge!

24 May 2010

A team from the Bank of America Community Volunteer programme visited the Dellow Centre last week to take part in a Corporate Challenge serving breakfast.  The team arrived at 7.30am for an introduction to Providence Row and the breakfast service we provide.  Then it was off to the kitchen for a food hygiene briefing before stating the challenge proper – pancakes were tossed, toast was toasted and coffee was poured for over 150 people who visited the Dellow centre that morning for breakfast.

Mischa Tropp, Kitchen Manager, said “It was really impressive to see the team working so well together in an unfamiliar environment.  The breakfast service was run smoother than some days here - so well done team!”.

Elizabeth Canning from Bank of America Merrill Lynch said “I never thought cooking pancakes for four hours could have been so much fun.  Everyone enjoyed the morning challenge and we raised £1,000 to help fund the refurbishment of the kitchen at the Dellow Centre so it was really worth taking part.  I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an innovative team building exercise that really makes a difference”.
