Providence Row works across two centres in the East End of London. In the Dellow Day centre, we work with homeless and vulnerable people; we also conduct workshops and meetings in our Satellite Centre, which also has space for rent.

Fixed Term contract from April 2012 – September 2014
Providence Row has been supporting homeless people to get off and stay off the streets for over 150 years. We have created the role of Business Development Manager as a two and a half year contract from April 2012 to September 2014 to take forward our ambitious plans for social enterprise development and income generation. As our Business Development Manager, you will:
- Research and develop viable businesses (social enterprises) for our charity
- Create a model of progression for clients through our Activity Programme, Trainee Scheme and social enterprises
- Develop and scale up our existing Trainee Scheme, linking it to opportunities with local employers
- Support existing members of staff and trustees to develop commercial acumen within the context of the work of the charity
- Develop the use of the charity’s current property and asset base to increase income.
You will bring to this role your excellent commercial perspective and experience including: creativity and innovation; thorough market research; business planning; a demonstrable track record of developing viable and profit making businesses; a strong interest in homelessness and its associated issues.

Are you curious about homelessness and do you want to do something about it? Use your research and writing skills to bring in resources to fund and develop our work with homeless people in London’s East End.
£23,000 – £26,000 p.a. (depending on experience), pension with 5% employer contribution, based in E1

Providence Row has been supporting homeless people to get off and stay off the streets for over 150 years. We have created the role of Development Officer so that we can think carefully about how to help more people, be more effective and bring in the resources to pay for our work. As our Development Officer, you will:
- Investigate client need and models of best practice in homelessness work.
- Conduct research into independent trust funds, private sector foundations and public sector funding sources
- Write successful funding bids to secure the income to support the delivery of our services
- Manage funder relationships
- Support the development of impact reporting in the charity
You will bring to this role your excellent writing skills; your experience (paid or voluntary) of working alongside vulnerable people; your ability to analyse and interpret research and policy; your ability to build and maintain credibility with a wide range of stakeholders; a degree (2:1 or 1st) in a social science or humanities subject
