Elizabeth Canning - Chair
Elizabeth has been on the board since 1995 and took over as Chair in December 2014. She is a Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer of Pershing Ltd, an affiliate of Pershing, a BNY Mellon company. She has held senior compliance roles at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.
Richard Solomon - Treasurer
Richard Solomon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Since 2009 he has been the Deputy Group Chief Accountant at RBS. Previous roles include Audit Partner with Ernst & Young LLP, and Audit Director at Deloitte.
Rita Chakraborty (Chair of the Fundraising Sub Committee)
Rita Chakraborty joined the Board of Trustees in 2005. Rita was the Deputy Secretary to the Foundation Trust, Queen Victoria Hospital until 2013. She has previously worked in fundraising and is currently taking time out from full time work to care for her young daughter.
Paul Strange is the Training and Organisational Development Manager at Bromley Primary Care Trust. Paul has also been a Project Manager at CIPD and a General Manager with BPP and with Malpas. Paul joined the board in 2006.
Sister Evelyn Gallagher
Sister Evelyn Gallagher joined the board in 2010 and represents the Union of the Sisters of Mercy – ensuring we maintain a strong link with the Order. Evelyn was a Secondary School teacher for 30 years and has provided ministry in a number of parishes. She is also a Trustee of the Sisters of Mercy Congregation.
Canon Paschal Ryan
Paschal joined the board in 2012 as a nominee of the Archbishop of Westminster. He is the parish priest at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Hackney. Paschal is a board member of a number of other charities, among them the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth and Heathrow Airport Chaplaincy.
Jonathan Rhodes joined the board in 2013. He is the Director, Head of Valuation & Capital Markets at the property consultancy GL Hearn. Jonathan is an elected professional member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. His previous roles were with DTZ/Donaldsons, Chesterton and Edward Erdman/Colliers CRE.
Simon Cribbens joined the board in 2013. Simon is currently the Housing and Social Care Policy Manager at the Corporation of the City of London. Previously, he was the Senior Policy Officer for Housing at the Greater London Authority.
Linda joined the board in 2013. Linda is a Parole Commissioner for the Northern Ireland Office and was a Trustee at NACRO for 7 years prior to joining the Providence Row Board. Linda has set up and run a number of successful small businesses.
Pam Orchard - Chief Executive
Pam has been the CEO at Providence Row since June 2011. In that time, the charity has developed service, in particular recovery and training opportunities for clients and greater partnership working with the NHS, Local authority and pan London services. Previously, Pam was the Deputy CEO at Edinburgh Cyrenians, where she had responsibility for planning, HR, public sector tendering and service development. Whilst at the Cyrenians, Pam designed the Homelessness Prevention Service (winner of Edinburgh Council Chief Executive's special award in 2012) and the youth homelessness mediation service, Amber (winner of the Children and Young People Now Family Support Award 2012). She has over 20 years’ experience in the sector. Previous roles include: Training Programmes Manager at the YMCA and Employer Supported Volunteering Development Worker at The Volunteer Centre in Edinburgh.
