Last Friday Providence Row hosted its first ever ‘Cook, Grow, Eat’ taster session for key workers from other organisations and potential trainees to get a taste of the accredited courses we run here at the centre (that’s a Level 1 in Horticulture and a Level 2 in Food Hygiene).

Once a year at our annual open evening Dellow Nights, our extremely talented art group get together to display a fantastic art exhibition.

Men's group takes place every Monday between 10am - 11.30pm.

Relaxation techniques can help clients attain a state of calmness and/or develop strategies to deal with stress.

We run sessions every Tuesday between 11.30am to 12.30pm.

We will be running specific sessions that can help to deal with anxiety, stress, and anger.

We offer a homeopathy service on Tuesday between 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The wellbeing programme takes a holistic approach which addresses the physical, mental and social needs of the client. In short, we encourage our clients to be: 

Active, Reflective and Creative (ARC).

Employability workshop to improve skills and support clients onto paid employment, volunteering and internship opportunities.
 

A women’s only group with different creative activities taking place each week, giving women a space to explore different ideas and build and develop their knowledge and skills.

Tuesday afternoons - 2 - 3.30pm

Join us as we explore storytelling through film and creative writing. The first and third Wednesday of each month we watch a film chosen by the group and discuss the characters, themes and anything else that interests us about the story.

Our Gardening Trainee Scheme, run by a professional landscape gardener, provides training and experience in horticulture.

‘Working on it’ is the perfect company volunteering opportunity to bring about lasting change for homeless people in East London!

We’re looking for volunteers from companies local to East London, to share their skills, develop their leadership capabilities and team build. 

We have a range of activities and classes you can get involved with here at our centre. Download our timetable for information on our regular weekly sessions. 

To celebrate World Poetry Day 2015 our fantastic English group got together to write poems about things they could see in our beautiful garden. Here are some of them, along with pictures of the objects they have written about.

Providence Row’s Catering Trainee Scheme has been named runner up at this year’s London Homeless Award 2015 in memory of Andy Ludlow receiving a prize of £15,000.
 
The awards recognise innovative and effective work that make a difference for homeless people.

Providence Row is launching a brand new Gardening Trainee Scheme for rough sleepers starting on Thursday 24 September 2015.

This week BBMV and homelessness charity Providence Row unveiled their brand new rooftop garden in East London.
