Do you need help now?

Volunteer

“The staff and volunteers are one of the best things about the Dellow Centre”
A client at Providence Row.

It takes a lot of people power to keep things moving on a day to day basis at Providence Row. We have twice as many volunteers as paid staff; we would not be able to run without the loyal support from our volunteers.

Volunteers work at Providence Row in many different roles from helping out in the kitchen to running clubs and helping at fundraising events.

As a volunteer at Providence Row you will work with an experienced team of staff and other volunteers and will gain new skills. You could also gain experience working with a diverse group of vulnerable people.

You will be able to see the true progress of the clients you help whilst you are here and the real difference you can make.

You won’t be out of pocket either as we will reimburse you for travel and provide expenses towards your lunch.

“It’s great to be here, helping people to get back on track”

Current vacancies

Reception Volunteers (Dellow Centre) – Mondays to Fridays

If you would like to gain experience or develop your skills in customer service or administration this could be the role for you. As a reception volunteer you will meet and greet visitors including homeless clients, register them on a database and help them with general enquiries they may have. You will also assist the reception team with filing and distributing the clients’ post.

Administrator, Complex Needs Team – 1 vacancy on a Wednesday 10am – 4pm

In this diverse role you will gain experience of mental health and substance misuse issues whilst at the same time developing your computing and customer service skills as an administrator. You will put your new found skills to good use to create meaningful posters and other materials promoting the services offered by the team.   You will also liaise with external suppliers: ordering equipment and taking telephone calls. Naturally you will be confident with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and preferably Publisher and be creative with an eye for detail to produce striking and effective posters that attract those with mental health or substance misuse issues. This role could be extended to allow the volunteer as an administrator with other departments also.

If you are interested in any of these roles please contact:
