About our work and values

Do you have passion for your work, a commitment to excellence and a desire to support some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in our communities? Could you support us to make positive lasting changes in people’s lives?

Providence Row works with more than a thousand homeless and vulnerably housed people a year in East London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and learning and training programmes. Our aim is to ensure that people who are so often excluded from mainstream services gain the support and opportunities they need to create a safe, healthy and sustainable life away from the streets. Central to our work are our core values of Compassion, Respect, Inclusiveness, Empowerment and Justice. These inform the content, style and delivery of all our services.

We support clients in addressing their mental health, substance misuse needs and general wellbeing by building a positive relationship with the person, not just focusing on their problems, but by exploring their potential using a strength based approach. Providence Row works with people to improve their self-esteem and confidence, helping them rediscover their skills, get back into work and training and build stronger support networks.

Your contribution to our work and values

Passionate about providing quality support to some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in East London. You will have the drive and ambition to support your team to make positive lasting changes in people’s lives.

You will have experience in delivering a needle exchange service as well as an excellent knowledge of substance misuse support services.  Expert in engaging through a low threshold service and a strong understanding of how other factors such as rough sleeping and mental health issues can impact a person’s health and wellbeing. You will live out our values in your approach to your work.
