Resettlement packs | Providence Row

Where appropriate, we offer resettlement packs to hospital patients we're working with to help get them settled into their new or temporary accommodation once they're discharged.

The packs include food and household items to help them through those first few days in their new (or temporary) place such as; pans, bedding, towels, a pillow and duvet, toiletries like soap and shampoo. This can make all the difference in helping people feel at home those first few nights. We also have food packs available which include jam, oil, tinned food and condiments - enough to help make those first few snacks and meals until patients are feeling well enough to get to the shops.

Often patients will be discharged after a stay in hospital, but arrive in their accommodation but not have pillows, bedding and essential food items. It might be too late in the day to get to the shops or they might still be too unwell to go out to get the things they need. These are all things we usually take for granted if we have stable accommodation, which can make all the difference to someone recovering from being in hospital and moving into a new place.
