Who is it for?

Bobo has come a long way in a short time. Six months ago, he was homeless.

Once a year at our annual open evening Dellow Nights, our extremely talented art group get together to display a fantastic art exhibition.

 

Our Gardening Trainee Scheme, run by a professional landscape gardener, provides training and experience in horticulture.

To celebrate World Poetry Day 2015 our fantastic English group got together to write poems about things they could see in our beautiful garden. Here are some of them, along with pictures of the objects they have written about.

Hello, my name is Annette and I started working at Providence Row in May this year as Enterprise and Training Coordinator. My last job was at a local authority supporting families that were furthest away from the labour market into employment.

For the second year in a row, Rise Bakery - Providence Row’s award-winning social enterprise - has picked up a coveted Great Taste Award.

Last Friday Providence Row hosted its first ever ‘Cook, Grow, Eat’ taster session for key workers from other organisations and potential trainees to get a taste of the accredited courses we run here at the centre (that’s a Level 1 in Horticulture and a Level 2 in Food Hygiene).

For people who are homeless, either sleeping rough on the streets or at risk of homelessness, life can be fraught with difficulty and danger.

Providence Row’s catering and bakery trainee schemes have been endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality, a fantastic acknowledgement of the quality of the training they provide to people affected by homelessness.
 
Providence Row’s Catering Trainee Scheme has been named runner up at this year’s London Homeless Award 2015 in memory of Andy Ludlow receiving a prize of £15,000.
 
The awards recognise innovative and effective work that make a difference for homeless people.

Providence Row is launching a brand new Gardening Trainee Scheme for rough sleepers starting on Thursday 24 September 2015.

This week BBMV and homelessness charity Providence Row unveiled their brand new rooftop garden in East London.
