Providence Row CEO Departure Announcement - a message from our Chair Elizabeth Canning

Tom O’Connor is stepping down from his role as CEO of East London homelessness charity Providence Row. 

Elizabeth Canning, Chair of Providence Row, said: “Tom O’Connor will be leaving Providence Row in early November 2025. Tom has been CEO of Providence Row since May 2017 and led the organisation through some challenging times especially during the Covid pandemic. Throughout his tenure, Tom has focussed on our mission to make a real difference to those affected by homelessness in East London, treating everyone with dignity and integrity. We wish him well in his new endeavours and thank him for his 8 years of service. Providence Row’s Board has initiated a search for an Interim CEO to provide continuity of service with Tom assisting during a handover period, while we search for a permanent CEO."
