RESET Outreach provides a free, confidential needle exchange service for anyone who uses injectable substances. This includes people injecting drugs and people injecting hormones, gender-affirming medication, anabolic steroids, tanning agents, or other performance- and image-enhancing drugs.
Our aim is to reduce harm, prevent infections, and support people to stay as safe and healthy as possible.
You do not need to be ready to stop using substances to access our service. Everyone is welcome, without judgment.
Who the service is for
The Providence Row Needle Exchange is for:
- People who inject drugs
- People using hormones or gender-affirming medication
- People using anabolic steroids or other performance- and image-enhancing drugs
- Anyone at risk of injecting, or thinking about injecting
You do not need to identify as a drug user to use the service.
What we offer
Through our needle exchange, we provide:
- Sterile needles and syringes
- Safer injecting equipment (including swabs, water, filters and spoons)
- Safe disposal of used needles and sharps
- Advice on safer injecting techniques and vein care
- Information on reducing the risk of blood-borne viruses such as HIV and hepatitis
- Naloxone and overdose awareness
All equipment is provided free of charge.

The service is confidential and non-judgemental. You do not have to give your full name or personal details, and accessing needle exchange will not affect your ability to receive other services.

Alongside needle exchange, RESET Outreach can offer:

- Support to access drug and alcohol treatment, if you want
- Referrals to health, housing and community services
Substance & alcohol use
Reset outreach and referral service is our harm reduction service. We support people with drug and alcohol dependency with a needle exchange as well as advice and support to overcome substance use disorders. We work in a non-judgemental and non-coercive way to help people improve their quality of life
