Here at Providence Row we take on students from the United States of America through either IES or Samford universities. Students volunteer with us for a semester and gain incredibly rare hands-on experience of work supporting our clients.

Whilst on placement with us, we will tailor your volunteering role to your interests and skills. This means you could be involved in many different areas of the day centre and Providence Row's work. Whatever you do with us your experience will be varied & enjoyable. One day you'll be helping to serve one of the 11 thousand meals provided to our clients every year; the next you could be planting seeds & working on our rooftop garden. 

I had a really varied role & felt like I improved my people skills during my placement. I was working on reception tending to the needs of the clients, working with the marketing team on a research project, attending talks with the drug and alcohol team & helping on the rooftop garden.
