Preventing homelessness | Providence Row

Losing your home can be an incredibly stressful and traumatic experience. Knowing where to turn and what to do in this situation can be difficult and confusing. We can support people in Tower Hamlets who have just lost their homes, are about to lose their homes or are living in illegal or unstable tenancies.

Our team of advisers

Our team of personal advisors are available at our centre on Wentworth Street, near Brick Lane. They can advise on how to manage money, from getting the benefits people may need to crisis loans; as well as on their options for a new home; and helping people to return to areas where they may have a better chance of finding accommodation.

Working with hospitals

Some hospital patients can also become vulnerable to homelessness, particularly if they lose their job and accommodation while they’re being treated. Our Routes to Roots project works in partnership with local hospitals to ensure patients at risk of homelessness are supported into accommodation and other services.
