Learning and training is essential in ending the cycle of homelessness. Each month we run around 65 learning and training activities which help people to build their confidence but also the skills that will improve their employability.
Benefits advice
Wednesdays from 9.30am - 11.30am.
Advice available on Universal Credit, benefits issues and mandatory reconsiderations. Please speak to a member of staff to book an appointment.
Music group
Thursdays from 2pm - 3.30pm.
Our music group meets once a week to practice pieces together as well as develop their own original work.
English Class
Tuesdays and Fridays from 11.30am.
English classes offer support with reading and writing on a Tuesday and speaking and listening skills on a Friday.
Art group
Thursdays from 10am - 1pm
Our art group is open to people of all levels and abilities and provides a creative outlet for clients that attend, a way to help them understand themselves and their skills better. There are plenty of learning and training options within art group.
Film
Wednesdays from 2pm - 4.30pm.
Join us for a film and a chat each week, as well as a trip to the cinema every three months.
Counselling
By appointment only on Wednesday mornings. Please speak to a member of staff to find out more.
IT Group
Women-Only Art, Crafts and Photography Group
Gardening group
Every Tuesday, 10.30 until 12 midday.
Brush up on your gardening skills while helping us care for our beautiful courtyard garden.
IT & Employment workshop
Mondays from 11am - 1pm.
Employability workshop to improve skills and support clients onto paid employment, volunteering and internship opportunities...
Acupuncture
Thursday mornings, 10am - 11.30am.
Choose from acupuncture needles or magnetic beads in our relaxing acupuncture session.
Massage therapy
Fridays from 9.30am. Please speak to a member of staff to find out more.
Homeopathy
Tuesdays from 9.30am.
Enjoy a one-to-one homeopathy session for help with a range of issues, inclusing anxiety and sleeping problems.
Building Resilience
With Groundswell. A wellbeing course looking at topics including healthy eating, sleep and keeping active. Tuesday afternoons 2pm - 3.30pm.
Interactive Addiction support
Tuesdays from 9.45am - 11.15am.
A space to think and talk about addiction issues, using interactive tools such as online talks, worksheets and films.
Recovery Group
Fridays from 10am - 11.30 am.
Join this group run by a member of our Reset team, for support with drug and/or alcohol issues.
Writing/Magazine group
Mondays from 1.45pm - 3.30pm
A workshop group where you can work on a written or visual project and constribute to the Cardigan, a magazine for the centre and local community, published every three months.
Relaxation skills
Wednesday from 12 midday - 1pm.
Try out a range of relaxation techniques to help calm anxiety and reduce stress.
Men's group
Mondays from 10am - 11.30am.
This group provides supportive discussion space for men to talk about anything that may be on their minds.
Mental Health drop-in
Mondays from 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
Talk to an approved mental health practitioner from the Tower Hamlets Street Outreach Team.
