Hours: 35 hours per week, including some evening/weekend/early morning work.
About us: For homeless people, or those at risk of homelessness, finding employment and housing opportunities can feel like an uphill battle, even more so if they’re affected by physical, mental health or substance misuse issues. Providence Row works with those affected by homelessness and those vulnerably housed in London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice and progression programmes. We ensure that people often excluded from mainstream services gain the support and opportunities they need to create a safe, healthy and sustainable life away from the streets.
The RESET and Outreach Referral Service: The Reset Outreach & Referral Service (RORS) Rough Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant (RSDATG) programme was established in 2020 and currently has funding until March 2025. The service is based within The Dellow Centre; run by Providence Row.
Aim of the Service: To support and enhance the quality of life for all locally connected rough sleepers in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets; by offering through care service from initial engagement and harm reduction and for some, then moving into treatment, and then recovery.
Alongside our partner agencies within the borough, compassion, respect, inclusiveness, empowerment and justice are all things that we pride ourselves on which translates into supporting individuals with histories of intertwined substance use and street homelessness so they can re-build stability and increase their quality of life.
The ideal candidate: You will be passionate about providing quality support to ‘at risk’ and ‘rough sleeping’ individuals in the borough and be driven to making lasting, positive changes to individual’s lives.
You will have efficient and accurate recoding skills and proven experience of understanding internal recording systems. Leaning on your experience of partnership working and collaboration, you’ll be able to draw on your expertise of working with individuals who actively use substances and/or alcohol in order to provide sustainable outcomes.

The role: We are recruiting to fill two vacancies. The role will involve but is not limited to the following.
1. Navigating the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, working with people who have a higher complexity in substance use and need regular additional support from multiple services.
2. Conducting a minimum of 15 hours per week of In-reach and Outreach
3. Managing a caseload of 8-10 clients. (This may increase depending upon demand)
4. Attending partner agency meetings relating to rough sleeping & hotspots in the borough.
5. Providing targeted harm reduction advice and information to individuals around the risks associated with drug or alcohol use and supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing.
6. Signposting individuals to other support services inclusive of substance use, based on individual need.
