Salary: £31,000

Duration: Full Time 35 hrs per week, permanent contract

Providence Row has a long history of working with those affected by homelesnesss and vulnerably housed in East London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, substance use & alcohol support and employment and training advice.  Our aim is to ensure that people who are so often excluded from mainstream services gain the support and opportunities they need to create a safe, healthy and sustainable life away from the streets. 

Volunteering plays a key role throughout Providence Row’s services including supporting our various learning activities, reception, substance misuse service, and many other roles within the organisation bringing people of diverse backgrounds, experiences and skills together to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Our accredited Peer Mentoring programme recognises the unique skills of those with lived experience to impact the lives of others and support the aims of the organisation. The Volunteering Development Manager oversees the recruitment, induction and training of volunteers as well as working across the organisation, with the Head of Learning and Training, to develop the volunteering strategy.

The ideal candidate
Passionate about the power of volunteering, you have the track record to run successful volunteering initiatives that make lasting changes in people’s lives.  You have experience of developing client-friendly volunteering procedures, induction and training within a complex needs setting.  You are an excellent communicator and can create positive working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.  You are creative, innovative and well organised.
